Tickets Terms & Conditions

Entry Conditions:

By purchasing the ticket(s), you are 15 years of age or older. You understand and have signed the Waiver & Release of Liability agreement.

Pictures and video footage may be used on the race website or that of our sponsors and in advertising material and media write-ups. All participants of the Murder Mystery5k Race agree to their photograph being used for these purposes. All participants understand that you will be required to use your internet data of any source to solve the case. All participants of the Murder Mystery5k Race agrees that Winer Events is not responsible for any of your internet charges of any source throughout the course of the race. 

Medical Conditions:

We recommend that you prepare and train for this event. Please consult your doctor for a check-up if you have not exercised for some time. If you have a medical condition, please check with your physician first before purchasing the ticket(s) and/or attending the race. You will be exposed to sunlight throughout the race, if you have any skin health condition, please seek help before purchasing ticket(s) and/or attending the race.

For reasons of safety:

No entries are permissible from participants on bikes, roller skates, with pushchairs, dogs or any kind of mechanical aid. Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes. We do not recommend wearing sandals throughout the course of the race. Participants are to abide by the Pedestrian Law CVC section 21950 (b).

Parking:

There is no parking space assigned for the Murder Mystery 5k Event. Participants must park in the appropriate parking spaces. Participants are to abide by the CVC (codes) section 22500-22526.

Your declaration:

By signing up to this event, you have already agreed to the following:
“I agree to abide by the rules of Murder Events 5k Race hosted by Winer Events. I understand that I enter the race at my own risk and that no person(s) or organization(s) will be held responsible for any accident, injury or loss to myself before, during or after the event. I understand the organizers reserve the right to delay, postpone, cancel or not officially time the race in case of adverse weather conditions, low volume or other events outside the organizers control. The determination of what constitutes this is reserved solely to the Race Director. Photographs of the race will be taken for publicity purposes. I understand that my image may be used and give permission freely for it to be used. I understand that entrants under 18 years old require the permission of a parent or guardian to take part in the event. I agree to my personal information being used as described below.”

Personal information handling in accordance with Data Protection Act (1998)

We take privacy issues seriously and want to be open about the way personal information you provide when you enter our races is collected and used. We use the personal information you give us to keep you informed about race arrangements, to develop and enhance our event, and inform you about future events. We may pass your information to our prospective sponsors for our future events.

Complaints:

The organizers have taken every step possible to ensure this is a fun, safe and enjoyable event. The race has been organized by and with the help of volunteers to raise money for charity and profit. We hope you will take the run in the spirit in which it is intended. If, however, you do have cause for complaint please would you direct it to the Race Director at the Race where a formal written complaint can be recorded and duly noted. All competitors will also be asked to complete an on-line survey after the event so that we may make improvements for future years. You may also write a complaint to us at feedback@winerevents.com.

Race Numbers:

Race entries are not interchangeable. Entries cannot be assigned, transferred or sold to any third party and is therefore strictly prohibited.

Event Cancellation

If the event is cancelled, you will receive a refund minus the service charge WHICH IS NEVER REFUNDABLE.  However, the Race Director will make every attempt to provide an alternative race date.

Refund: There will also be no refund under any circumstances unless race director decided to fully cancel the event without a date change.

We reserve the right to update our terms and conditions at any time. Please check regularly for any changes, which will be immediately applied to your continued use of our websites.
